Episode Summary

iEcclesia ends a very successful first season with the conclusion of a discussion on suicide. The panel continue the discussion with how to spot the signs of someone who is considering taking their own life. Also discussed is how one tackles the difficulties of life which sometimes lead to despair.

 

This episode also talks about how the families who is affected by suicide, whether attempted or otherwise, deal with it and if there are healthy or unhealthy grief reactions. Further discussed is the viewpoint of the Orthodox Church regarding suicide and why it takes that stance. The podcast looks at how the media portrays suicide and what effect it has on society. The panel wraps up the episode with some concluding comments.
