Episode Summary

iEcclesia continues season 2 with the second part of  our August dedication to the Mother of God, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary. Our new host Eleni Kanavas,  along with guest Presvytera Maria Drossos, begin with Presvytera Maria reflecting on her and her family's special connection to the Mother of God and what thoughts come to mind to describe her. The discussion continues with a few words about Panagia's life and works. She describes the various Feastdays that are dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which are documented in the Gospel accounts. The issue of the immaculate conception and the viewpoint of the Orthodox Church is presented. The program concludes with some final thoughts on how we can honour the Mother of God and lead a life modeled after Her.
